I think a lot of people have music in their heads I hear them playing it in their big ‘ol beds It’s hard to figure out an outlet for your head It’s so much easier just being a fan This one’s for you guitarless man I think a lot of mothers want to help their kids I think a lot of fathers think they already did This one’s for you guitarless kid I think a lot of people have music in their heads I hear them playing it in their big ol beds It’s hard to figure out an outlet for your head It’s so much easier just being a fan This one’s for you guitarless man

I'm Your Man 03:20
I’m your man There’s sunshine and daydreams and all of my troubles are gone Yeah, there’s sunshine and daydreams and all of my worries are gone A pretty little girl with a shiny white smile Threw a diamond in her face to keep with the style And she says to me, just over and over again you are my man And it feels good to know that your love is for sure And if you’re thinking of changing your plan no baby I’m your man There’s sunshine and daydreams and all of my troubles are gone Yeah, there’s sunshine and daydreams and all of my worries are gone A pretty little girl with a shiny white smile threw a diamond in her face to keep with the style And she says to me, just over and over again you are my man And it feels good to know that your love is for sure And if you’re thinking of changing your plan no baby I’m your man

Ticky Tocky 03:25
Ticky Tocky The weight of the world coming down on me I’ll just drink some coffee or sip your tea I ain’t got a plan for the rest of my life but I hope to end up at your place sometime Where the ticky ticky tock of your clock could rock my head And the bricky bricky blocks of your walls surround the bed And in your kitchen girl I know I’d be well fed And every little morning we’d wake them words would be said Yeah its love I’ll ring your finger We’ll have us a kid Raise him up right and do it again We’ll clear the nest We did our best Let's sip some tea and kick back and rest Because you know one day I’ll rot away And in the ground with me you’ll lay Our toes be singing songs with the bells that they play They’ll have to look back at our lives and say that the ticky ticky tock of the clock Man it rocked our heads And the bricky bricky blocks of the walls surround our bed And in that kitchen girl you know we were all well fed And every little morning we woke them words were said Yeah it’s love
5.
If You Don't Love Her If you don’t love her, then you just don’t love her But if you love her, you better get home You’re drinkin beer so far away from here that no one can find your restless soul You’re screaming loud but you sure ain’t proud You can’t even look at yourself If you don’t love her, then you just don’t love her But if you love her, you better get home She’s one in a billion, but you’re just a killin All the sweet in her tea She’s just a ball, you could have it all You’re not sure that you want her on your team If you don’t love her, then you just don’t love her But if you love her, you better get home
6.
Dead Grinnin' If you’re feeling bad my friend don’t look down at your chin look up at the sky and give it a grin And if the church comes looking for you and you’re not sure you’ll fit in just look at them and give them a grin A silly boy out sad boy in When you look at me I just look back and grin Dead grinnin When your friends come down on you and you’re not quite sure what to do please look at them and give them a grin It’s true you’ll be gone one day so make sure that you say That in my casket I’d like for my lips to grin Dead grinnin
7.
Little Bear 03:53
Little Bear I wrote a little song for a little bitty bear and he quit his job and grew out his hair Now he’s hooked on pills If you could bottle up time and sell it for a dime you might be a hero you might be fine Or you just might be exactly the same Don’t be a fool, stay in school, but mostly just remember the golden rule And don’t you dare go jerking off too much But we all fuck up in our own little ways prostitutes and skater boys with broken legs cigarettes and chew and too much mt. dew and not giving a good god damn about anyone but you I wrote a little song for a little bitty girl and then she danced away, into the night she twirled Seems like I lost that little girl to the world Just find your dream and make it come true And maybe help somebody find their dreams too Then I’ll bet you’ll finally know what it’s like to be loved You see you don’t have to be a hero to me or for that matter anybody You just got to go out there and be yourself But we all fuck up in our own little ways prostitutes and skater boys with broken legs cigarettes and chew and too much Mt. dew And not giving a fuck about anyone but you
8.
Insignificant I’m feeling insignificant today and I know exactly why I went to work in a button up shirt cheap shoes and a discount tie I can’t even fake it I wish the money was enough I wish the money was enough I can’t even fake it I can’t even hide it I come off as weird to everyone Come off as weird to everyone I can’t even hide it So I built a world in my head that only I can see I keep hearing that drugs are bad but they’ve sure been good to me I can’t even fake it Ever since I was a kid I thought I was more important than anyone But I’m not Now I know I’m not So I built a world in my head that only I can see I keep hearing that drugs are bad but they’ve sure been good to me
9.
Tell the World The world will wrap its arms around you misguide you, make you think you’re free fill your head with shit until you’re old enough to recite it They’ll have you working 9 to 5 the whole time you’re alive Then you think one day you’ll be free But that day you’ll never see We base our lives off ancient scrolls that almost no one even know Then think one day we’ll be saved Forever happy after grave This world it spins on its own But we think we’re the ones that own Everything that we see Oh how silly you and me No matter how big or small you are All that matters is your heart Don’t be a slave to the world Little boys and little girls I do dare tell the world to fuck off

about

Staying true to their love of vinyl, Elaine Jr was recorded totally analog on 2" tape at Postal Recording in Indianapolis, under the guidance of co-producers Alex Kercheval and Tyler Watkins (Margot and the Nuclear So and So's). It’s as if, after receiving these gifts from the ether, it’s the band’s duty to respect and honor the music through care, attention and honesty.
